Hi, I’m Benjamin.
As a child, I was fortunate to have parents who knew the importance of good financial planning and helped me set aside funds for my education. The money they set aside paid off my university tuition fees in full — all $32,000 of it. As a financial planner, I consider it my personal responsibility to educate and help my clients make sound financial decisions.
I specialise in investment planning and portfolio advisory. I mainly help my clients employ a mix of both long-term and short-term strategies in their portfolios to maximise returns as well as generate a passive income stream.
I’m also a licensed estate planner, and part of my work involves helping people plan and draft their wills and trust structures, ensuring that in the event they pass away, their assets are passed on to the right people as smoothly and fuss-free as possible.
I was baptised at birth as a cradle Catholic and spent a good part of my life growing up in church. I’m also actively involved in ministry, working with children and youths. If anything, I’m thankful for my Christian upbringing as it has, in a huge way, shaped my values and belief system.
I’m passionate about music and I’ve been playing the piano since I was 6. There was a phase where I nearly gave up on it, but my parents made me push on and I couldn’t be more thankful. As I grew up, music became an outlet for my emotions and often brought peace amidst difficult times in my life.
I also love to write, which explains this blog. I started this with the intention of sharing my honest thoughts about money and financial planning, so to you who are reading this, thank you for indulging me.
