I went to Jewel Changi, and it was like a ghost town.

So I went to Jewel Changi with my family on Wednesday for lunch and some light shopping. Prior to this I had barely been out, so it felt quite surreal.

The usually bustling Jewel Changi was empty except for a handful of stray visitors. Instead of the usual hum of chatter, it was quiet. While queues were forming at Rich & Good Cakes and Shake Shack, staff in the other retail outlets were, for lack of a better expression, ‘swatting flies’.

While thankful for the peace, it was also a pretty depressing sight. With a narrow emotional spectrum like mine, it was confusing. Anyway I still had great food and company, so all was good!
